2022 Album Fictional Festival Series: Jam Festival

I previously introduced this new series, which is a spinoff of the previous Fictional Festival series, one only featuring artists who released albums in 2022.  This post discusses a lineup for a jam rock lineup.  For more information about the series in general, please see  this post . In this festival, there are three major differences from most of the other festivals in this series.  First, I set it up so that many acts received longer sets since many acts at jam festivals tend to extend sets or perform longer (I set this up in a similar way to how the Progressive Rock festival was set up).  Second, I had several acts that performed two sets since this is something I think is brilliant when festivals do; as such, there are 29 sets on each day.  Lastly, I generally assumed a 12 AM cutoff on each day for other festivals, but this one includes 3 late night sets that start at 12, with one main stage act performing a set that is approximately an hour and 2 sid...

2022 Album Fictional Festival Series: Progressive Rock Festival

I previously introduced this new series, which is a spinoff of the previous Fictional Festival series, one only featuring artists who released albums in 2022.  This post discusses a lineup for a progressive rock and experimental rock lineup, though it also incorporates other genres.  For more information about the series in general, please see  this post . In this festival, I gave longer sets to several artists on the main stage, as many acts in these genres have longer songs.  There is also a special side stage on each day:  on Friday it is a technical death metal stage, Saturday has a math rock stage, and Sunday has an industrial stage. After I finalized this lineup, 3 acts either broke up or cancelled their tours, so I replaced them with a note.  Two headliners had to be replaced, which would normally be a catastrophe for a festival, but one was replaced because I missed the fact that they were taking a break from touring (if these were actual festivals,...
